Friends of the Missouri Break’s 2018 Big Sky Watershed Corps Member, Taylor Mudford, built this story map of the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument. Story maps use Geographic Information System (GIS) data, text, and photos to inform people about an area. This story map will guide you through a virtual tour of the Breaks, beginning in Fort Benton and terminating at the James Kipp Recreation Area. Along the way, the map will move to highlight each specific area, and photos and text will provide additional information about the sites. FMB would like to thank the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for providing the data required to build this map and for several photos that flesh out the monument’s story. All photos not provided by the BLM were taken by Big Sky members Taylor Mudford and Samantha Strable during their 2018 field season, or by other FMB workers and volunteers.
